Region and playback checks

Check the platform’s region and your account eligibility before choosing a route. Loading the home page, finding a title, and playing it in full are three different checks.

100+ countries / 240+ routes Unlimited devices No logs

VPNSay provides international routes. Content licensing, membership benefits, and how platforms identify your exit IP are determined by each platform. Route coverage is not a verified playback guarantee.

Platform and region support table

The available facts do not include platform-by-platform or region-by-region test results, so each entry below is marked “Unverified.” The region column is a starting point for checking routes; it does not mean the platform serves that region or that its content is available to play there.

Platform Regions to check Availability Suggested routes and requirements
Netflix Japan / United States Verify with the platform Check Japan IEPL routes or a direct US connection; account benefits and catalog availability must also match
Disney+ Japan / Singapore Verify with the platform Check Japan IEPL routes or a Singapore relay; first confirm the platform’s current service regions
HBO Max United States Verify with the platform Check a direct US connection; confirm the local product name, service region, and subscription eligibility
Hulu United States / Japan Verify with the platform Depending on the regional version, check a direct US connection or Japan IEPL routes; confirm account benefits for each
YouTube Premium Japan / United States / Australia Verify with the platform Check routes for the relevant region; the platform’s rules must allow the membership purchase region, residence, and playback benefits
Prime Video Japan / United States Verify with the platform Check Japan IEPL routes or a direct US connection; also confirm the account’s store region and content access
BBC iPlayer Subject to the platform’s current service regions Unverified; no test results provided for this region First check the client for routes in a region supported by the platform, then confirm your eligibility

This is not a live status table. Platforms may change their regional catalogs, IP detection, and account rules. Playback on your current account and device is the final check.

“100+ countries / 240+ routes” describes VPNSay’s route coverage, not compatibility with every platform. Even routes in the same region can produce different results. Before choosing a plan, test the platform, title, and device you actually use rather than relying on a route name alone.

Different Hulu regional versions, Prime Video account stores and video benefits, and HBO Max offerings in different markets all need to be checked separately. Don’t apply help information for another region to your account, or assume your catalog based on the page language alone.

What “access” means for streaming

In streaming, “access” usually means a platform allows content from a particular region to appear or play based on information such as your network exit. It does not add membership benefits to an account or make every title available. Content rights, release dates, age settings, and account region can all affect the result.

Check the complete viewing experience: does the site load, can you sign in, can you find the title, does it play, and does playback stay stable? Loading the home page alone doesn’t prove that a specific catalog is available. A title shown on a promotional page may not be playable with your account.

Platforms may consider IP geolocation databases, account details, billing region, device location permissions, and previous sessions. Changing your network exit may not immediately refresh an existing session. If the catalog hasn’t changed, check your account and app first rather than assuming the route doesn’t work.

This page does not guarantee permanent access. IP detection rules and content rights can change, so a test only reflects the conditions at that time. Follow the platform’s terms of service and applicable local requirements. Do not falsify account details to obtain benefits you are not eligible for.

Native IPs and residential IPs: what’s different

Native IPs: focus on geolocation

“Native IP” is commonly used for an exit IP whose registration, advertised location, and geolocation database records are broadly consistent, but it is not a standardized certification. Platforms use different databases and may identify the same IP differently. A route labeled Japan does not mean every site will locate its exit IP there, and “native” alone says nothing about streaming access.

Residential IPs: focus on network type

A residential IP generally refers to an address associated with a residential access network rather than a data center. This is separate from whether the region matches: residential classification does not automatically provide access to a region’s catalog, and correct geolocation does not make an address residential. Platforms may also consider address history, shared usage, and account risk signals.

VPNSay’s available product information does not label routes as residential or native IPs, so this page does not present either as a product promise. IEPL, relay, and direct connection describe connection paths in the client; they are not substitutes for an exit IP classification. Verify viewing access with the platform itself.

Assess geolocation, network type, and route separately. No single label can replace a playback test for the title you want to watch.

4K and Dolby Vision playback requirements

HD playback depends on sustained throughput, not the peak result from a single speed test. Bitrate varies by encoding, scene complexity, and platform settings, while the player may adjust quality based on buffering. Check the platform’s current official video quality guidance for bandwidth requirements rather than applying one number to every service.

4K is a resolution; Dolby Vision requires support for an HDR format. They are not the same setting. Your plan, title version, playback app, device decoding, display capabilities, and connection to an external display can all limit picture quality. A fast connection won’t make Dolby Vision available on an unsupported browser or display.

First check whether the title’s details page shows the relevant quality badge, then review your membership benefits and the device compatibility list. Turn off data-saving options in the app, allow automatic or higher quality, and observe playback over time. If every route delivers similar quality on the same device, check app and device limitations before switching regions.

Your home network matters too. Wireless interference, router performance, background syncing, and downloads on other devices can all cause buffering. Pause bandwidth-heavy tasks and compare results on the same device under different local network conditions. VPNSay supports unlimited devices, but simultaneous viewing still shares your network capacity and plan data. Streaming platforms’ own simultaneous-playback rules also apply.

Choose and test routes for your needs

Prioritize an exit region that matches the platform’s service area and your account eligibility. Labels such as Japan IEPL, Singapore relay, and direct US connection can help identify the route, but “dedicated” or “direct” does not determine picture quality. Your access network, exit IP classification, and the platform’s content delivery path all affect the experience.

  1. Sign in to the user panel to get the client. VPNSay supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. For iOS, check the subscription status shown in the panel for available access options.
  2. Choose a route for your target region. Check the client’s connection status and routing mode, and make sure traffic from the streaming app uses that route.
  3. Use Exit IP Lookup to check the exit IP seen by your current browser. The browser’s result may not apply to other apps, so verify again in the playback app.
  4. End the old playback session and reopen the platform. Check your account region and the title you want, then play it and watch for changes in picture quality, buffering, or error messages.
  5. To compare routes, keep the device, title, and local network the same and change only the route each time. This makes it easier to identify the cause of a problem.

App routing, system proxies, and client rules can send your browser and video app through different routes. If the website works but the app doesn’t, check which traffic is routed. A mismatch between DNS results and exit region can also affect access, but don’t stack multiple proxies or change DNS settings at random. Restore the client’s default configuration and test again first.

Common errors and troubleshooting steps

Error codes can vary by platform, device, and app version. The table groups issues by what the message indicates rather than attributing every code to a route. Check the platform’s current official help for the exact meaning.

Message or symptom Possible cause What to try first
Proxy or VPN detected How the platform classifies your current exit IP Check the exit IP, end the old session, and retest with a route that complies with the platform’s rules
This service isn’t available in your region Service availability, account region, or location detection Check the platform’s service regions, account eligibility, and device location settings
This title can’t be played Content rights, membership benefits, or playback components Try another title on the same platform, then check for app updates and consult the platform’s official error guidance
Persistent buffering or reduced picture quality Throughput fluctuations, wireless interference, or background activity Keep the same title, check your local network, then compare other routes in the same region
Sign-in loop or blank page Session issues, browser extensions, or app routing Check routing, sign in again, and clear the site’s cache as directed by the platform’s help
HDR or Dolby Vision badge is missing Title, membership, app, or device compatibility Check title and device support first; don’t assume a missing quality badge is a network issue

For error codes containing letters and numbers, save the full message, time, platform, device, and route name. Similar codes can have different causes on different devices, so partial codes can be misleading. If the platform’s official guidance points to payment or account status, resolve that account issue first; a network service can’t replace the platform’s account support.

For help from VPNSay, submit a request through the user panel. Saying “the home page loads, but a specific title shows an error” is more useful than simply reporting “it won’t play.” Hide account details, payment information, and subscription credentials in screenshots. Never send your password or full subscription URL.

Frequently asked questions before you watch

Why hasn’t the catalog changed even though I’m connected?

A connected status only confirms that the client established a connection. The playback app may not be using that route, or the platform may be reusing an old session or serving content based on your account region. Check app routing and your exit IP, then review your account, title rights, and the platform’s rules.

Does unlimited devices mean a platform can play on unlimited devices at once?

No. Unlimited devices refers to VPNSay’s device connections. Streaming platforms set their own rules for account sharing and simultaneous playback. Connected devices also share the data allowance of your plan.

Which should I use for streaming: a monthly subscription or a data plan?

Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date. Data plans last until used up and never expire. Data use depends on viewing time, picture quality, encoding, and playback behavior, so this page doesn’t convert data allowances into fixed viewing hours. Check your client’s usage records and compare options on the plans page.

Do I need an email address? What is the refund policy?

No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. VPNSay offers a 30-day no-questions-asked refund. See the refund policy for how to apply. Payment methods: Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT.

Can one test result be treated as a long-term access guarantee?

No. Platforms may update exit IP classification, regional licensing, or account verification. Access results can change even on the same route. Check the results for your current account, title, and device each time you use the service.

Next, review route types and regional options, then compare plans based on your data needs. Route selection determines the connection path; platform eligibility and content benefits must be checked separately.
